This is a story about grief and how people go through grief differently. Especially for some Asian families that may not always have the best relationship with parents, you still grieve them and their loss hits you differently. The narration was a bit confusion, but some parts were interesting. It was interesting to reflect on my own relationship with my parents.

pretty meh just really don’t care about the main characters…maybe a story about the missing sister might be more interesting

literally DNFED twice. tried earlier this year as an ARC, thought that maybe the problem was me in a reading slump. Tried it again as an audiobook, it doesn’t grasp me. I don’t care abt her story, there barely is one. This was just incredibly boring.

I liked some of the writing; however it was bleak and depressing but somehow written in a way that did not feel sympathetic to the characters. Overall I am left with a feeling of emptiness and not in a good way
