Oh, Skyler Foxe is at it again. He finds himself in the middle of another police investigation when an old friend is killed and his partner is arrested. There is also a continuation of the events from [b:Foxe Tail|9435740|Foxe Tail (Skyler Foxe Mystery, #1)|Haley Walsh|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1285966834s/9435740.jpg|14320321]. Skyler's relationship with fellow teacher Keith is starting get serious, even as questions about Keith's motives and history arise. And then there is that last line.... Lord, now I MUST read [b:Out Foxed|17085941|Out Foxed|Haley Walsh|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1356202408s/17085941.jpg|21805902]!

Another fun one, although this one is more focused in the developing romance between Skyler and Keith.

The mystery this time was closer to Skyler, as the victim was an old college friend, and his partner is the main suspect. So, of course, he decides to investigate as Sydney, obviously, has it all wrong.

The mystery was less involving in this book, even when the case itself was more interesting. I think it was because a lot of the story was devoted to the romance.

And the romance... well, it has its up and downs, mainly because Skyler is commitment-phobe, but Keith is not helping his case a lot, TBH :P

But what I liked most? It wasn't neither the mystery or the romance. What I really adore here where the scenes in which Skyler was a teacher. Yes, he has some fantastic students, and that helps, but gosh! the man is an awesome teacher!

The murder is solved, but the mystery surrounding the school is still going strong, and it's probably more dark that we thought, as in this book we discover that the FBI is involved.

So, yes, of course I went immediately for the third one!

***Audiobook Review***

I'm going to start my review by saying that Joel Leslie is the PERFECT vocal performer for this book/series! I'm EXTREMELY picky about my audiobooks and don't like many. Joel's performance is SPOT ON! Every character has a different sound - even the Hispanic characters sound perfect. His voices for Keith and Skyler are EXACTLY how I heard them in my head when I read book 1!!

This story is a continuation from the first book and we get more sexy time from Keith and Skyler and more of the story about what's happening at the school. All the great characters are back and better than ever - especially the SFC!

I'm so looking forward to listening to book 3!

Seriously, that guy on the cover is nothing like Keith. Does the fact that he is holding a football mean we are supposed to ignore the lack of inches, square jaw and constant stubble!

TBC... the series, not this review.

Shame about Evan, I thought he could have made an interesting addition to the SFC, an interesting contrast to the fabulousness of the others.
