I read Kelly Rimmer’s book “The Things We Cannot Say” and it affected me so greatly I thought I if out for weeks. “The Warsaw Orphan” is just as good and I blew through it in 2 days. What a beautiful story, there isn’t an emotion that goes unfelt! This is not “just another WWII book” but it shows new angles and perspectives in such a perfect way.

This novel was not what I expected— at all — and it was so much better. So many unexpected plot twists and moments of well-described anxiety, anger and apprehension. I felt I was there!

this novel addresses the warsaw ghetto and uprising - the characters’ speech felt unnaturally geared toward Ethical Lessons For A Contemporary Audience. even though a bit on the nose, it’s not a bad objective!
