I was hooked in this plot. That lunch scene where those kids said they had brothers tells us everything about how this still isn’t changing.

I was a little disappointed in the ending. I didn't feel like the villain really got what he deserved. But overall, I enjoyed the story. I thought the two separate lines were woven together really well.

This was a well crafted family drama that I ultimately didn’t really enjoy reading that much.  I vacillated between being bored of the endless food descriptions and frustrated… no furious with the state of the world. As a mother of two daughters, reading this book set in the height of the #metoo movement, jumping timelines and following the fall out of
Diana’s rape
was too much.
