The Maze Runner Trilogy has so much potential to be a great YA Series with an interesting premise and concept.

However, the writing and story were really bad for the most part. It was poorly executed. The characters were a hit or miss. The Death Cure ends the trilogy on a disappointing note.

It got gory at the end. It got more descriptive of deaths at the end.

Damn, that was intense, that was really intense.
Things just got worse and worse, like the characters never had a break.
I think the ending was good, but im not sure. It was unique, and different from other series'.
I dont know, it made sense, the novel wasn't cliché entirely but just woah. That ending sent chills through me just because idek. It was like crazy ass adventure and then that and it was just like idek.
A lot of things werent answered or resolved though. I had many questions throughout but i just realised i never found out the answers. The plot had one goal then another.
I also think there was too much action in this novel that werent necessary. They were irrelevant and unneeded to the storyline.
It's a weird book, im just thinking of it and its so weird, murky and confusing. I cant explain. Now im questioning my 4 stars for it

After the train wreck of The Scorch Trials, my expectations were very low, but because the movies were so different for these last two, my curiosity was sufficiently piqued. Suffice it to say, I'm pleasantly surprised for the most part.

The first half was dismal, pretty much just as bad as the second book. At one point, Thomas literally just sits there staring at something bad happening while everyone else is flipping out Brenda is yelling at him to go, and he just stares and sits and gets caught because of it. It was completely ridiculous. But then things got better with Newt's character, who'd always been the best character in the series. He brought more genuine emotion and set the story on a better track, and I found myself actually enjoying the book by the end. And Brenda became a human being! Yay!
