I did really like this book but I did have mixed feelings about it for a a few reasons.
I liked the content covered in the book and it does feel very “real” and what is happening in the world right now. It’s very current and I feel that there would be a lot of people who would connect with this story.
I actually enjoyed the way the book was written. I thought the back and forth from 3rd person to 1st person narrative was a cool concept. It allowed you to see as an outsider how something is perceived and then get the main characters POV right after.
I liked that the book was short and too the point but it was almost too short if that makes sense. The author tried to pack a lot of issues into one book and I think that took away from it slightly. I didn’t feel like I got a chance to connect with the characters because by the time I was starting to feel invested the book had ended. It was also alot packed into one book so I feel like we only scratched the surface on so many different topics.
I also didn’t love the way they spoke about women in the book. It felt a bit wierd to me but maybe that was the point?
With it being such a short read I think anyone could and should read it and can decide for themselves what they think!
