Would highly recommend this book. Still, think about it. Is such a crazy thing to have happened years ago, and yet I had never known about it. The change of characters and times in this book is done so well. Even though there are quite a few to follow, they change between each person so seamlessly that you don't have to keep flicking back to the last thing you read about them.
Really made me think about how someone can be so close, but really so far away. How lucky we are now to have modern medicine, we can't even comprehend how difficult it was back then. Really easy read, finished it very quickly.

A little on the nose with the other books I'm reading at the same time. Like Forgotten Garden, it's a book about a lost history. Like 13th Tale, it's a book about traveling to the place to learn about it's history. Still a sweet story.
