This book is the perfect example of why sometimes its best not to read the reviews. I was quite enjoying this book as it seems a nice, fairly happy college M/M college. For some reason I felt the need to see what other people thought while at the half-way mark.

I wish I never had!

Now I can't stop thinking about where this story is going and what is going to happen to these characters... It is that I have a problem with the story-line as I've read books with similar pairings and endings it more I can't see how what is happening now connects with what is going to happen. It has also meant I have no interest in finishing the book because I don't want to have to buy three following books to get the HEA.

Oh well, lesson learnt, don't read the reviews mid-book.

Also I feel I can’t rate this book properly because I stopped reading around the mid-way mark but as I did stop I've had to give it 1 star.

This is the first book in what seems to be an ambitious series. I enjoyed the first book but I'm not sure if I'll make time for the rest of the books.

Overall, this was an OK story. I liked the progression of the friendship and relationship between Eric and Nick. The story throughout was good and mostly believable for 2 college guys. The ending didn't sit well with me, though.
Throughout the whole book, Eric was very much wanting to control everything and when him and Nick broke up, he was very much not going to cave...but then all of a sudden caved and wanted to be with Nick again. Huh??? And Nick, throughout the whole book was afraid to come out or be seen in public but the all of a sudden was OK with Eric holding his hand in a restaurant and then kissing him on a sidewalk after walking out of said restaurant. Huh???
While this was a decent story, I have to admit that reading about the next books in the series make me not want to continue and I will end up making this a one-shot read.

Both the characters could have been better written and the POV isn't clear in some places--there were moments when it read from a first-person POV while in a third POV and it was jarring to find it had stepped back some.

I really enjoyed this romance, the relationship developed slowly and I felt their connection growing, the sexual tension was hotness, and watching them both find their way was very enjoyable.

Wasn't crazy about this. I think Erik is a bit of a jerk, Nick is a spineless. I hate that the big angst is A) resolved only on one side, with the equally at fault partner playing the wronged party, and B) that it's basically solved with 3 words. "I love you" is not a magical phrase that fixes anything and everything. Apparently I've already read book 4 which I didn't realize, and it seems I didn't like it much either. I am not surprised. It turns into a M/F/M menage, which blech.

There was a bit too much drama for my taste in this m/m college romance.
