Thank you to the author for giving me a copy of this. As a thank you, here is my review:

I felt two things going into this: pure excitement and pure fear. I loved the first three and I really enjoyed Easton's character so of course for him to be getting his own story was great. Plus just the idea of more Royals books. But then there's the fact that maybe this wouldn't be as good as the first three. As great as Easton is maybe his story wouldn't be as good as Reed and Ella's was and it would bum me out. so many series do this and often they ruin it by writing about other characters.

As I thought the excitement aspect won out. Easton was funny, charming, amusing and also a great male character in a blooming romance.... Should this be called a romance yet? Because bad-boy Easton who can get "any" girl was paired with Hartley by our brilliant authors. Hartley, who like him comes from money, but unlike him is not rich. Due to all sorts of family drama she was sent away but is now back and surviving on her own. She doesn't give Easton the time of day, making this romance so far a no-go. So they become friends...friends with attraction. Especially on his part.

Hartley is an enjoyable new character to the series. I think the books need someone like her. She brings some flare and attitude to the books and i love how she's already calming Easton down.

I really enjoyed all the cameos by the past characters: Ella, who still attends school with Easton, Val, her friend. His twin brothers and Lauren their girlfriend, who is being made to be different than we know her in the first three. I was bummed we didn't see Reed (yet?). he only popped up in text and a phone call. Even Steve and Callum made appearances. since they were all such big parts of the first three I was happy that the authors didn't forget about them now that Ella's story and drama is over.

This wouldn't be a Royals book, though, if it did not have a cliffhanger. THIS book isn't officially out yet and I already can't wait for #5. Ugh, why Erin Watt, would you do this!?

I loved this book, I love the Royals, and I love where the story is going!

I was so looking forward reading this book as I got hooked while reading the first three. Easton is a very special character and I was dying to read his story.
Maybe after Reed's and Ella's story my expectations regarding the suspense was too high, so I was quite disappointed with the lack of suspense within "Fallen Heir".
However it was interesting and very well written being inside Easton's head. How torn apart he actually is and why he always tries to escape his real life while fighting or drinking.

So therefore I wasn't as glued to the pages as with the books before and that's the reason I can't give more stars.

The end was quite surprising and unexpected. It really left me with "WTF?" and I can hardly wait to get my hands on "Cracked Kingdom"!
