Delightful read - forgot how much I like historical romances. Just the right amount of spicy and I loved the ending.

This book was given to me by a friend and it was not what I was expecting.
I dislike reading book blurbs, so I assumed it was a contemporary romance. I was shocked when I began to read and found that it was a historical romance. The only thing that kept me reading what the format of the book- trade paperback is life.
I enjoyed watching these two characters fall in love. The storyline and setting are something I would, hands down, watch on television right now but probably not willingly read. I have been trying to keep it light, assuming I wouldn't be able to get through something with even the slightest length or weight, but I was happy to learn that I can read things right now!

A very enjoyable Victorian romance that coincides with the UK's suffragist movement, allowing the FMC to be a progressive bastion who is admired by the MMC for her intelligence and convictions. This is light and enjoyable, and I'm excited to see where the rest of this lighthearted historical fiction series goes!
