5 out of 5 stars.

I had high hopes for this story, after Oberon and Chrissy’s story didn’t hit for me (felt a little disappointed).

I’m happy to say this story exceeded my expectations and now I’m dying for book 3.

i liked it. but the novelty of the series wore off a little bit. some things repeated themselves exactly like in the first book.

i really liked fmc’s grandmother. i wished she was alive so she and mananan could meet.
“I’m watching over you, kid. You’re not alone. Especially not with that hot man with you. Gods, if you don’t jump his bones soon, I’m going to start haunting you,” Deidra teased and kissed her cheeks”

i didn’t understand why mananan was stalling at claiming fmc and having “we are mates” talk.

I love Alessa Thorn. Love. But this series is not as captivating to me as the Mercenaries and Magic or Court of the Underworld series. I think she has less to say here or maybe the focus on making happy endings for monsters is missing. I don’t know. But I’m going to read every book she publishes forever because even the ones that are not as good are still a lot of fun to read with great characters and interesting plots. Also seeing the family pop up is fun each time.

All in all, this was a fun ride

The seas of Faerie and Albion need to be healed in order for magic to flow again, and it's up to one surly fae king and a lighthouse keeper with a strange gift to get the job done.

Mananan has to fix the oceans between Faerie and the human world to stop them both from dying. With a god killing sword and a willingness to use it, he's more than up to the task of defeating any monsters their enemies throw at him. The problem is, he needs to find the altars that are sucking the magic from the sea, and he has no idea where to start looking.

Ella's magical talent for seeing visions whenever she touches something has ensured she lives in seclusion and privacy. That is, right up until a kraken attacks her light house, and she is saved by Mananan. Being indebted to one of the fae is a dangerous business, but Ella has no choice. She has a skill they need to find the altars, and there's something about her that Mananan can't resist.

As they battle to save both worlds from a growing darkness, they'll discover that their love for each other is the strongest magic of all.

CHEESY! I can't! The dialogue between the mates and female mating group is beyond corny but I keep reading anyway...
