Forced proximity journey at its best! I liked this a lot. I thought their chemistry was great. If I were to have one critique, it’s that it dragged a bit at the end

I mean…it wasn’t bad, it wasn’t great…it was good?

This is a journey book. So much traveling and arguing but like, the arguing isn’t really…entertaining. And by the time they get to the destination I’m kind of annoyed by Lily. I get she’s on an alien planet but it doesn’t feel like that. She just feels bratty but she’s written as self-sufficient. It’s not clear. Probably my least favorite so far.

Did I like Verakko at first? No.
Did he have any right to waltz into my life like some awkward alien vampire hunk? No.
Did I let him? Yes.

"If someone walking by could see into her brain at that moment, all they’d see was scribbled hearts with the initials V and L." --- Me too, Lily. Me too.

Too slow at the beginning for my liking but picked up pace quickly, which was nice.
And the epilogue sure made up for any sour feelings I had before.

Very well written chemistry between the main characters. I've read this book many times and still crave their witty banter, spicy sexual chemistry, and... just ...ugh chef's kiss!! Ty author!
