This was kind of cute and full of adventure. I loved the references to Chinese mythology and old stories.

Each dragon had a different temperament and seemed to fit really well with their human except for maybe Spark because why call a dragon Spark when i manipulates water

I really should have trusted my instincts on this one, because I enjoyed listening to Dragon Mountain a whole lot! There's dragons and friendship, magic and mayhem, funny banter, great sentiments and a plot filled with adventure and action -- all things that I personally adore in the stories I read. While it certainly is geared towards a younger target audience (and I'll definitely be gifting this one to the younger readers I know), I still very much enjoyed getting to know Billy and his friends, as well as their dragons, and getting to be a part of the adventure they go on. It's such a delightful read, and I'm looking forward to continuing with the series.

I’ve loved Katie and Kevin’s Sam Wu series and was really looking forward to reading their foray into the fabulous Realm of Middle Grade and I wasn’t disappointed.

A fabulously fast-paced adventure including dragons, super powers, friendship, and an ancient evil, Dragon Mountain has it all!

I was gripped from the start when the main character Billy was introduced along with the rest of the main cast Charlotte, Dylan, Ling-fei, and ‘Old Gold’. It follows their adventures into the Dragon Realm to save us all from the Dragon of Death and the nox-wings.

There is a strong theme of cooperation and understanding others throughout the book, and having a group of main characters so that there is someone most readers can relate to (Dylan) is important.

Dragon Mountain has done a great job setting the series up, great heroes, dastardly villains, and a series of worlds to explore make me really want to read the follow up, Dragon Legend, now.

I received this book from the publisher via Net Galley in exchange for an honest review.

This was so much fun!!! I wanted a little more backstory, but that aside I loved everything about it. And I need my own dragon please and thank you.

When I picked it up, I first thought ‘just another book about dragons’, but it started a major obsession! I’ve always loved dragons, and if you love dragons too, then this is the book (series) for you. I could never put it down! The twists and turns were so exciting! A must read for fantasy lovers.

Engaging and exciting book for children who enjoy magic, fantasy and dragons. With strong male and female characters I think it would appeal to both boys and girls.

This probably isn’t a 1 star kind of DNF but I get the impression it wasn’t going to be a 5 star for me either. The characters felt a bit lacking unfortunately and I wasn’t feeling invested in the first couple of chapters.
