Almost 3.5⭐
My experience reading this book was a bit strange. Miss Marple is old. Older than usual. Things in St. Mary Mead are changing. All of this felt a bit strange and bittersweet, it wasn't very familiar, and I really wanted something familiar. Witnessing a sort of helpless and very old Miss Marple was so sad and concerning. But despite all of this, it wasn't the start of it that put me off but rather all that came after, up to the final few chapters. I did not like the story very much, I did not like the characters very much. But I loved the last few chapters. That familiar Miss Marple touch was finally present and I simply adore it. Honestly, I was so happy with how things worked out in regard to Miss Marple living situation. Keep thriving, Miss Marple!
Oh and the reveal of the mystery more than made up for the boring storyline of this book.

No estuvo mal, en lo personal si me gustó el final, a pesar que ya a usado esta estrategia anteriormente Agatha Christie. Pero no me molesta, es la razón por la que me encanta leerla.

Definitely one of my new favorite Agatha Christie books, the twist at the end was incredible!

This ranks up near the top of my favorite Miss Marple mysteries, and I'm only hedging from putting it in first place because I haven't read all of the Marples yet. Really absorbing. Several of the things that I thought were clues turned out to be right, which always makes me feel clever even if I don't unravel the whole mystery before Miss Marple explains it.

Good, but predictable at points.
