Just the kind of hard scifi with political intrigue, societal unrest, and real world grounding that I crave. 
Heavy on (very interesting) thought experiment type passages explaining the actual scientific principles behind things like astronomy and space travel, etc., might sometimes read as a physics lecture instead of believable things real people would say to wach other.
