really the only reason i read this book till the end was the relationship between Tate and Kellan. Shed some tears when Tate read Darling Venom not gonna lie! -> 3,5 Stars!

This was a heartwrenching story, you don’t expect it to hit you in the face. The grief, the sadness, the anger, they’re all just trying to get through. This will break your heart, shatter it to pieces, and make you work hard to feel whole again.

You want a cute little enemies to lovers romance? A feel good novel about overcoming tragedy and finding love? You won’t find it in this book. I was not expecting the emotional trauma bonding over shared ptsd, followed by the grief and guilt of moving on. Followed up by the hidden plot twist.. (his dad is totally to blame.. right? His actions led to the uh unaliving, right??) I think I need therapy as much as the characters do after finishing this book. 10/10 would experience the trauma again. Take my money.

“Guilt is pain’s fuel, and it rekindles it every time the flame fades”

This book was very moving! Long but was captivated by the message! We often feel guilty for feeling the way we feel and this book gives us a glimpse of a tragic story behind the feeling of darkness. The people left behind to cope and grieve and move on with from guilt that consumes them.

It was a well written book! It does have a cringe moment BUT just that one moment!

This book is on a whole new level, I cried and I got literal shivers at the end, it was just so beautifully written. This is one of those you stop and just think about it down the road. 5 STARS!
