I really wanted this book to be as good as the first but it fell flat. I was still thoroughly entertained and felt like the story held well on its own.

Just didn't really connect with the story and characters in this one like I did in its predecessor. The murder mystery itself was fine, very Law and Order-y, but the FBI agents themselves remain plot pieces that don't grow or change, and there's something about the way the FBI is propped up as a beacon helping women, children and minorities that rubs me the wrong way because historically that has not been the case.

Great book. Hard to put down. I loved how she tied the two stories together. We were not left to wonder how the ladies from the first book was doing. We were able to experience the new book and gain more insight on the old book. Thanks for writing these books.
