This book was a great listen for long car rides. My boyfriend and I are fans of the author and were interested by the plot of this book. We enjoyed the cliche moments and the not so cliche ones that were rather unexpected. Though it’s long, the plot line is worth it. Everything is neatly tied into a bow at the end except for one detail about Lola (I don’t know the spelling since I listened to it). Besides that, I was pleasantly surprised by how good this book is.

Loved loved loved this story!!!! It’s so refreshing and so well thought out. You can tell that Stephanie really did her research for this story. I enjoyed every second of it!

It was a slow start, but once you got past the first couple of chapters the story really picked up. It was a lot of fun, and very different from her other books.

Stephenie Meyer is best known for her Twilight books, but you should go into this book knowing that it is definitely not the same kind of story. But different is not a bad thing! It’s fun to see the author in a different genre but still telling a great story. I’ll admit, this book was a little slow to get into. In the beginning it’s just the main female character, who has been in hiding for 3 years. She’s very much a loner, and keeps changing the name that she goes by, so it can be a little confusing. The story only gets better from there though, so don’t let the beginning scare you away. We meet more characters and the story gets more complex. There’s a romance that develops, but it’s done in a way that works into the thriller so that it’s not the main focus. It’s nice to see a strong female character who uses her brains to make up for any physical weaknesses. We also see her grow and evolve as she learns to develop relaionships and trust with other people. I don’t want to give much away, but I’ll say that the farther into the book I got, the harder it was to put down! Whether you’re into thrillers, romance or just a fan of Stephenie Meyer’s other books, this one is definitely worth reading.
