Continuing on from Thirst, we learn more about Ava's backstory, and we start to see her really come into her own. There's intrigue and some complex will-they-won't-they tension which doesn't feel forced at all. I'm very much enjoying Carl's evolution as a character, and learning more about the supernatural world within this universe.
Another well written story, interesting plot. I am enjoying this crazy journey. I would recommend this book.

this is not a "OMG THIS WAS AMAZING" 4 stars, more of a "wow, I quite enjoyed it" 4 stars. because I really did enjoy it. there was a lot more character development than plot, and we met new characters, but the plot was quite good too.

I really enjoyed the pacing (for the most part) and think the quality of writing improved greatly since the first book. I recommend to people interested in paranormal stories with interesting twists. The main character Ava has a personality.
