I liked this one! I worked in venture capital for years for a really small fund, so it was interesting to read about the big funds and how they operated. Sounds like it was a crazy place to work, with a founder that was out of control. I'm glad I use Lyft!

A cautionary tale of hubris and bro-culture, and what happens when your company is defined by it. I thought it was a fascinating read from front to back. Interestingly, Travis Kalanick isn't completely unsympathetic in this book - I think the author did a good job of conveying that he is, in fact, human, and is capable of feeling shame and grief just like anybody else. Still, he created a company that was crafted in his own image, and it went off the rails because of it. The ultimate lesson is, perhaps, that a "win at all costs" mentality has the potential for catastrophic results.

Great Book

Mike is a great writer and he writes a compelling history of the rise and fall of Travis Calanick. You should read this.

Everyone ends up very wealthy at the end despite sundry crimes and moral failings. Uplifting!
