I enjoyed the fact that these stories can be either read as a short book that you have in one sitting, or they can be read individually and they will still make an equal amount of sense. As well as this, the book is for everyone regardless of age which means it is not constricting in terms of who can and cannot read it with understanding (this is helped by the fact you can get large writing versions of the book) and taking conclusions from the stories (those are also written at the bottom of the stories for those who are unsure of what they mean). My version of the book also has pictures for those who find visual aids in stories important as well.

I would recommend this book for anyone who likes breaking down their reading and is even possibly looking for something that may be more fitting to be read to children or even by them.

*This isn't the exact version but i couldn't find the exact version so I picked the closest to it.

Liked
*Listened to Aesop's Fables Better Than Ever on audio and enjoyed the short stories that included the moral at the end of each
*The narrators did a great job
*Some stories I grew up with i had no idea were Aesop.

Disliked
*So I also own an illustrated classic edition and I wanted to read in conjunction with the audio but oh boy....my dumb brain can not comprehend ye olden language with the thy's and thou's and betwixts.  Children back then must have been smarter cause no clue what the stories were getting at.

I used to love this book as a child, even now it is still enjoyable to recognise so many morales but in a very different format to how we usually see them.

The illustrations in the edition I have are particularly nice (and apparently done by the same illustrator who created the original illustrations for Alice in Wonderland) and really add to the feel that these are not modern tales.
