Easy For Keeps by Kristen Proby is book 3.5 in the Boudreaux series that was also released in the 1001 Dark Nights series. This a actually a novella so it was a quick read. Do not mistake a quick read for boring. This book was filled with drama, romance, and sweet moments.

Adam and Sarah have her daughter to thank for their unlikely meeting but they have chemistry from the start. Adam is the bad boy bar manager who is never looking for more than one night. Sarah is a mother who is new to town and trying to make a difference in the world. Their romance burns quickly and brightly.

I love the way Kristen Proby builds families and friends that I get completely invested in. I will always look for another Kristen Proby book to read.

4.5 stars Re-read. I just adore Kristen Proby books. I really like Adam in this one learning that there is more in life than one night stands. Sarah doesn't think she has time for a relationship. Hailey is just so cute. I love how they all fit together.
lighthearted fast-paced
Strong character development: No
Loveable characters: Yes
Diverse cast of characters: No
Flaws of characters a main focus: No

I enjoyed this one. It was SUPER short, and VERY insta-love. Both characters were likable, and the kid was adorable.

I could have done without the tip toe through Adam's past sexcapades at the beginning of the book. I don't know why authors do this? You can tell me he is a man-whore. I don't mind a good man-whore, but I don't need details and OW that he can't remember fucking in my face right at the start of the book. It takes away from the H/h's story.

Now that being said, I still like Adam a lot since he states he is tired of whoring around and all that, and he is all in with Sarah from the start. Still, this would have been a 5 star read for me if the past sexcapades had been a little less in your face.

Overall though, I love this series and this author.

Lovedddd it!

I love this series. Adams character was a bit harder to like than other heroes.

Short and oh-so-sweet!

Supersüße und sexy Kurzgeschichte :)

Adam Turner is the bartender at The Odyssey which is owned by Callie Mills. He and Callie are best friends. Adam is a confirmed bachelor. He just loves women and can't imagine settling for one for the rest of his life. Adam meets Sarah Cox and her daughter, Hailey, at the grocery store. Sarah's not what Adam is used to but he's intrigued by her. Sarah is a social worker who relocated to New Orleans after the death of her husband who was a police officer in Miami. Sarah helps women and children in her job which can be dangerous. Sarah sees Adam as a way to "get back on the horse" after her husband's death. But, both realize quickly there is something more going on. It was great to see Adam and how he just went with the flow. While he didn't understand what was happening, he didn't run either. A very enjoyable story with great characters.
