Wow, amazing book written in the viewpoint of a young soldier in the trenches. This German soldier could have been any nationality, it reads through the struggle they live in day in day out. I've never really thought about it from the germans during the war.

This book could have been written from a German OR British perspective. There is no difference within the ranks of soldier during WW1. They were all just doing what they were told.
