The good kind of deadpool. Literary abomination that he is- it is awesome when they treat him as such. Like kenny G recording himself in with louis Armstrong. But funny cause he is a 4th wall breaking smartass. Loved the magnum PI look he gets when healed as it is not at all like Ryan Reynolds a weird mish mash of art styles as they either added DP to the old comic or redrew it all. Like the adult but still fairly PG humor with Wasp. pretty lame how he gets venom then gives it up- hope to read a good storyline on that someday.

Cool idea, and very true tot he character: instead of showing Deadpool in the current Secret Wars mega-event, we get him inserted into the 1984 Secret War story. As the professionally lazy cover blurb states, "A tale both entertaining and amusing." That tells us nothing, but is also pretty accurate here. Fun read, but not essential.

Not as entertaining as I was hoping it'd be, but worth a read since I got it from the library. Though after reading it I still don't understand what the big thing was that killed everyone (as shown in the very beginning). So I'd say the storytelling jumped around too much to be very coherent or easy to follow.
