Einfach ein super tolles und leichtes Wohlfühlbuch mit ganz vielen ohhhh Momenten! Die Geschichte ist nicht wirklich komplex, dafür sind ALLE Charaktere umso liebenswerter.

Short quick read.
I liked the female MC. Both the male MCs, Jace and Eric were meh. Jace was little over the top as the 'perfect' guy.

i like the fact that charlie realized she did like girl-stuff, she didn't know it because she was not exposed to it before. it implies a bit that if you are not girly, you're not really a "girl", but somehow manages to keep it case-oriented, there are no bad generalizations, i think.
charlie and jace were adorable from minute 1 ❤️

Cute mindless read which helped me out of a reading slump.
But potentially problematic due to
1) stereotypes galore
a) Charlie, a tomboy who plays baseball transforms into a giggly mini skirt wearing girl. There is no medium between these 2 extremes.
b) Her BFF Eric's prom date is pretty, popular and a mean girl.
2) Jace is captain of the baseball team and had a crush on Charlie for years. Charlie had a crush on her BFF Eric since forever, but fell for Jace almost instantaneously. Which indicates she just wanted a romance, it didn't matter with whom.
3) Leila is Jace's twin and became BFFs with Charlie after 1 shopping trip
4) Charlie and Eric's 2 other friends were pretty much interchangeable
5) Charlie initially hates that no one sees her as a girl, but during a confrontation with Eric's prom date states she doesn't care about anyone's opinion of her
6) Eric, the BFF was too controlling and they make up without him apologizing
7) Lots of telling and not enough showing

It's cute, it's fun, it's not that deep. Finished it in an evening.
Had some very inane passages, but also many endearing moments so it all balances out.

I’m a little torn with this one so giving it a 2.5
I don’t normally read books like this but read a couple of reviews that it had good emotional depth. I can see where they’re coming from. There are definitely elements where it feels like good conversations are happening and it explores some good topics.
The overall book though was a bit... not sure how best to describe it. I didn’t connect well with the story and found some aspects a cringeworthy
