Overall I'd say it wasn't quite as powerful as the first book in the series but it wasn't a dud by any means either. I enjoyed it. I'm glad it was written. The back and forth in narration was wonderful, I loved hearing things from Atlas POV. There was one chapter in particular that was so emotional I had to stop everything else I was doing and just listen (I read the audiobook version).

“Sometimes people think if they love a broken person enough, they can be what finally repairs them, but the problem with that is the other person just ends up broken, too.”

I love that we got more of the story with Atlas and Lily. This was everything and more! I loved watching Lily grow as a mother and standing up for herself to raise her daughter away from abuse and conflict. I absolutely love Colleen Hoovers books I can’t praise them enough!

This is an actual 5 star read for me this year. Fell in love with Lily and Atlas all over again. I also fell in love with all the side characters too. So inspiring and I cried like 5-6 times. So good

Nothing super exciting here. Didn’t love it or hate it. It’s kind of exactly how I expected it to go. My reviews still stand like my other Colleen Hoover reads that she tries far too hard to be “trendy” but ends up being extremely cringey. When Lily said  “I’m a boollenial,” I had to stop and take a breath and regroup before I continued 😩😩😩 Also, it’s giving slightly creepy / odd vibes that Atlas is THAT close w a 12 year old at his job that he tells him about his love life ? Maybe it’s just me, but where are the boundaries. I also wish and thought that Lily was going to take actually take Ryle to court? Guess not 🤨 that man got off far too easy. Overall, it’s just a 2 star for me. It was sweet at some parts and I enjoyed more of Atlas’s point of view.
