Nothing happens- there was no climbing action or major event. The whole book just read as filler.

There's no doubt this book was written to please BookTok. While there wasn't a need for a sequel here, it was an okay book to see "what was" with Lily and Atlas.

I decided to read it to see how it ends, but it didn't do a lot for me personally. A few random storylines thrown in that didn't feel totally necessary to progress their story like the brother and excessive letters. I found myself skipping over a lot of the letters because they felt repetitive.

Overall, I wouldn't go out of your way, but if you're looking for a quick read this is your book.

I have so many feelings, I do want to preface this by saying I did enjoy the book but I felt that it was missing more of Lilly and Atlas together. I wanted more passion and I get that the main topic of the books is to highlight abuse but there was so much anxiety attached to Lily and Atlas relationship moving forward which I can only assume is very realistic but I wanted more from the Characters themselves and less of they’re day to day life if that makes sense. I wanted to get to know them more together and I don’t think we really got that. I feel like the book was rushed do to tik tok but that’s just my two sense.

Three stars for me equals I enjoyed it, not a waist of time but wouldn’t read again.

Listen, I FUCKING LOVE COLLEEN OK. I DO. but not every book is going to be a banger, and sadly this is one of those. I was bored 99.8 percent of the time.

This could have been an extended epilogue.
