Ouran High School Host Club, Vol. 6
by Bisco Hatori
4/5 stars
The main focus of this volume is the school festival. It's interesting to see how smart Kyoya when strategizing everything. Even though he is only the third son of the Ohtori family, Kyoya has shown us his capability to be the heir with his smart brain and calm attitude.
Then. after I'm questioning what's happening with Tamaki, as in how he couldn't live in the Suoh's family main mansion and the no presence of his mother. Seems like Tamaki has a lot of hidden stories.
I'm glad that finally, Haruhi got to know Tamaki's story more. I think, she will start to give an emphaty towards Tamaki.

fave moment is near the end when they're trying to cook soup for that old man and get distracted trying out the "common folk" recipes which ends up with kyoya calling his secretary or something to find the man who first claimed that tuna topped with mayonaise and soy sauce will taste like giant tuna, and have him banned from japan because they think haruhi has been deceived.

I quite liked this volume. I think that the story has progressed enough that I've started to forget aspects of the anime and so it was like I was reading this story for the first time. This volume mainly focuses on the festival that the school holds and it ends up being the host club vs the football club. We also get to know more about the family members of the host club as we get to meet them, and Tamaki's backstory is introduced. I'm intrigued to see what will happen next in the series.
Just adding mostly because I really wished this was turned into an episode in the anime, and this is still by far my favorite of the series. So far.

Glad I decided to do a re-read of this series this year. It's definitely a comfort read for me. I love the relationships that the club has with each other, not to mention the fact that it's absolutely H I L A R I O U S. I wish they'd give this anime a reboot like they did for Fruits Basket.
This was probably my favorite volume of the manga so far! It’s deviating more and more from the anime and remains highly amusing.
