one of my fav volumes festival arc go crazy why wasn’t this animated
the competition makes for a fun story i like how it spans 3 chapters to give it time
the tamaki stuff is really strong manga him is the only boy ever i love him
and the vice principal chapter was fun as well i love my boys and their silly hijinks
there was something else i wanted to say but i’m forgetting but strong volume
oh yea more kyoya we is excellent more of him

Ouran is putting on a school festival but it's not like the festivals in other manga. The students are expected to be able to plan and manage their festival more like an adult event than a cute and fun student effort. Tamaki's father and grandmother attend and we learn about where he came from and the things that would be huge drama and angst causes for other heroes but don't bother him. He has an iron will when it comes to denial. Haruhi, on the other hand, gains a lot of sympathy for him.
Most of the episodes in this volume formed the cohesive arc of the school club competition for the best spot for the school festival. It was fun for there to be a competition and also there was some mystery as to who was threatening the Host Club should they compete.
After the competition, there’s the actual school festival. It was so cool to see some of the Host Club members’ families! Learning where they come from is a great way to learn more about their characters. I especially enjoyed Hikaru and Kaoru’s mom and the background information on Tamaki. His dad seems hilarious.
Then, the last episode was just a return to the regular antics of the club members. I really love this series and can’t wait to keep reading!

This one was the best so far! The school festival was entertaining and the following story held a great lesson for our favorite club.

This one overall was pretty cute. I’m happy we got to see other clubs and even meet some of the host clubs family along the way. Even if that means we get the sad back story about Tamaki. And to think that old man was married to the lady this whole time lol. Definitely didn’t see that coming.
