Has a great premise, and excellent settings.

I just think the book began with so many open threads that it took too long for everything to connect. Seriously, our hero didn't even know who the bad guy was - and had never met him - until the last 100 pages or so.

Still a good read... it just took me longer than some of Morrell's other works.

Desperate Measures is better read if you want a decent assessment of Morrell's work. There's also the Fifth Profession, which I am starting now.
