couldn't put it down which has been more unusual for me in recent years. really connected with the protagonist and her struggle felt real and not at all performative just for the sake of this story. I'm sure I'll revisit this book

Omg this book WAS NOT what I was expecting in a good way. It was so good and so intense and the last 4 chapters had me on the edge of my seat omg so good. Some triggering stuff so please be mindful of them. Homophobia, stalking, car accidents, and partner abuse

pretty nice actually
I expected this book to be bad because I didn't like the writer's poetry so I was being unfair but I actually do like this book.
however I'm still not compelled to give this a 4 star because I feel like it wasn't there yet but I feel like Brown is doing pretty great already as a writer
it was nice reading this book because the teenagers are relatable to an extent or at least Sydney's emotions are. admittedly, don't really love the characters so Leo is probably the best one
but yea pretty nice
