story 3 stars, narration 4.5 stars - Found out after I was almost finished that Dean was actually DEEN. šŸ˜« (I'm listening to this series by E. Davies, bc it's 32+ hours of Greg Boudreaux's voice for 1 Audible credit. The writing is okay, but I'm there for the voice šŸŽ™ļø)

E. Davies is definitely one of my "must read everything they write" authors and Splinter was no exception. Growing up in the southeastern US, I've spent many family vacations in the Great Smokey Mountains where Splinter is set. Davies did an excellent job painting the picture of the wooded paradise where park ranger Nico meets rock star Deen. As both men start to realize how much of themselves they've hidden from the world, with Nico hiding in the woods and Deen losing himself in fame, they realize just how much they've been missing, but can they figure out how to make it work?

Full of both steamy and sweet moments, Splinter definitely needs to be on everyone's reading list for a hot and all the feels read!

Better the Second Time

When I first read this book over 2 years ago, I thought it was great. After reading a second time, Iā€™m remembering how much I loved it. I forgot E. Daviesā€™ specialty is low angst stories. Deen and Nicoā€™s relationship was hot, soft and sweet all at once. I canā€™t wait to rediscover the rest of this series.

Lo stile non mi ha convinta, aveva un che di macchinoso.
Non ono riuscita a sentire i personaggi che sono rimasti distanti.
Non mi ha trasmesso nulla.

FIVE STARS for Greg Boudreaux's narration! I don't think I would have liked this series quite as much if I'd read them instead of listening.

Two fleeting stars

Passing in the night. What a wonderful story of two opposite, unsuspecting souls falling head over heals in love.

I thoroughly enjoyed this take and can't wait to read book 2.

Getting caught in a not so great photo and letā€™s face it Deen was also getting little burned out his manager sends him on a getaway to recharge.

I loved that they both fell without trying, the attraction was there and they just leaned into it.

Nico is healing from his old career and now a national park ranger gives Deen a lot of fantasies I loved! They just fit and I like how they both want to make it work so they do.

I donā€™t mine the narration, Greg gives us enough of a tone difference we can tell who is talking.

Story 3.5 B-
Narration 4.5 A-

Low angst and a story that rambles a bit, but still sweet and sexy. Greg Boudreaux does a great job with the narration.
