This was a meandering sort of super long epilogue to the first part of the Psy Changeling books. There really is no point reading this if you haven’t read the rest of the series and at the same time, this is definitely one for the fans. I don’t quite consider it essential reading unless you’ve been following this series closely to this point and then of course you’d want this close out book.

This book is set within the new context of the post-conflict l Psy-Changeling-Human Trinity, trying to restore peace and collaboration to the earth but facing sabotage from members of the shadow organization, the Consortium as well. In this novel, we feature Ming LeBon as a big bad along with the Consortium and their allies and there is also a mystery to solve with the water Changeling who was kidnapped and tortured in the previous book. We get to spend a lot of time with our favourite couples and their families and to catch up and see what they’re doing.

For me, this was just a little too long and dragged a little but overall I enjoyed this in all its somewhat self-indulgent glory. CWs for kidnapping, torture and violence. This is still a really great book for tying up all the loose ends from series 1 of the show.
