Honestly I get the Sherlock hype this stuff is good! Wanted to start with just one of the store before diving into the complete works. I truly don’t know how one comes up with all the details to even write like this. Chef’s kiss!
I expected more, to be completely honest.
I liked Sherlock's quirky, maybe even frantic behaviour, and I enjoyed observing all concepts of the Victorian novel.
My issue is that I guessed the killer, their means, their motive, literally everything before I even read the first half of the book. Mind you, I've never seen an on-screen adaptation or anything of The Hound of the Baskervilles, but maybe I'll give it a try, and who knows, perhaps I'll enjoy it more than I enjoyed this book.
The middle part of this book dragged on and on and on, and it felt like I was merely reading scrambled words. I could barely detect any meaning behind it. Could be that I just wanted to be in Sherlock and his personality's company, who knows.
For now, Sir Doyle, I'll stick to Agatha Christie, thank you!
