I think I was looking for more from this book. It came across more as journal entries surrounding information that has been circling for ages. I appreciate the effort and idea behind this book but for me it fell flat. I wish there was more drive surrounding equality than feeling like I was reading therapy sessions.

For those wanting to learn more about basic feminism this may be interesting, but I knew most of it already and didn't really gain new information. Not a necessary baf book, just not for me :)

I guess as someone who hasn’t read any feminist novels before this was a good stepping stone to some key issues, however they aren’t necessarily new concepts to me. There were some thought provoking moments within the text that sparked some critical reflection but these were from personal experiences, not through the authors writing. Some of the issues discussed could have been indulged further, there were some missed opportunities for sure. Overall though I loved the layout/ art/ illustrations throughout and it was a fun read. If you’re looking for education rather than a punchy fun introduction this isn’t for you. If you’re looking for a brief introduction to feminism and something pretty for the coffee table this is perfect.
