I really enjoyed this! It had a slow start but I really didn’t mind that because it was interesting. I also liked the romance because I’m a sucker for romance. I did think the ending was too fast like dang. I also learned a lot about gentrification which is good.

I could not put this book down. Alyssa Cole’s writing is captivating and beautiful. One of the more thrilling thrillers I’ve read in some time. I was on the edge of my seat and needed to know what was happening to this community of characters.

Sydney and Theo were both incredibly flawed people, but they felt real. Gentrification is too common and Cole brought to light very important discourse on the topic.

Again, very well done and I can’t wait to read more books by Alyssa Cole.
