I FINALLY got a hold of the next Ruth book and I binged it at once!

Ruth goes to Italy to take a look at some strange bones. And this is what I like about this book, so that is the mystery until very very late when in comes a murder investigation too. But that is late in, and that must be why I liked it, it is like fiction with a touch of murder.

Right, so a murder too.

But meanwhile back in England Nelson is dealing with a newly released prisoner and that will cause some drama.

And omg the end, there hope died for sure. Maybe for the best.

Another good book. I need to start the next one at once.

Another great read! Lots of drama in this installment. Also, super sad about Tim! Bruno IS better than most humans :)

Nice change of scene to Italy, and good focus on the various relationships. A little light on archaeology it felt, but overall a good 4 stars.

I have mixed feelings about the book. I think the distraction of Michelle’s pregnancy stopped me being able to concentrate on Ruth in Italy. I had hoped that by the end of the book an answer would have been given and I could go back and re-read the book again. I really feel that this pregnancy is going to be too drawn out.
Also having Nelson so naive is just really irritating. The part where he tells himself there’s absolutely no way Michelle would ever sleep with Tim, in light of his own behaviour I just find a bit unbelievable.
Having said that I loved the return of all my favourite characters. The cast is an amazing creation and I look forward to the next book.

I loved being back with Ruth, Nelson, Cathbad and the gang. The new setting of Italy and the descriptions especially was so refreshing with a new piece of history to focus on. I just adore all the characters and the various mystery pieces had me not wanting to put it down. As always, a dramatic ending that had me very emotional and I had to pick up the next book immediately.

Another great episode in the series

The Dark Angel by Elly Griffiths is the tenth book in the Ruth Galloway Series. Ruth, Kate, shona, and Louis head to Italy so Ruth can consult on a case. This book of the series seems to have more drama involving the entire cast of characters of the series but I enjoyed it anyway.
