Libro che ho letto nel corso di un giorno perché volevo sapere come finisse, devo dire non male. La fine mi ha sorpresa anche se mi aspettavo qualcosa di più sconvolgente. Incredibile la descrizione della protagonista che cerca di superare un trauma con tutte le sue difficoltà. Sono pochi i libri che ho letto che parlano di questo lato delle vittime.

È il secondo libro di questo autore che leggo e devo dire che non delude mai!

It was a bit confusing at first as it's German and I'm not 100% sure of German terminology. I kept thinking "Herr" and "Frau" were names and thought the characters were different people, but after I found out they were german terms of respect (my best example would be Mr. and Mrs.) it made a lot more sense. The story is really captivating and has a lot of twists, the characters are incredibly complex and the way trauma was portrayed especially in Jasmine was extremely accurate. It's a very creatively written dark, twisted tale that I've already recommended to a couple friends and family members. I do feel like the ending wasn't as satisfying as it could have possibly been, but it certainly wasn't bad. I saw a lot of reviews about translation issues, but personally I didn't have any. Even with translation issues I'd highly recommend this book, it's a really good read you won't regret.

I was really expecting something more thrilling and chilling, the first few chapters were and the last few chapters were but the middle of the book felt more like an example of three people dealing with their own emotional distress. 

I think the book would have been more thrilling if we knew from the beginning the captor was still alive, up until the last 50 pages we thought he and the threat were dead.
