The book sounded so good but it took all 350 for nothing to happen. I kept waiting for the crescendo but…nothing. Anti-climactic.

It was a bit confusing at first as it's German and I'm not 100% sure of German terminology. I kept thinking "Herr" and "Frau" were names and thought the characters were different people, but after I found out they were german terms of respect (my best example would be Mr. and Mrs.) it made a lot more sense. The story is really captivating and has a lot of twists, the characters are incredibly complex and the way trauma was portrayed especially in Jasmine was extremely accurate. It's a very creatively written dark, twisted tale that I've already recommended to a couple friends and family members. I do feel like the ending wasn't as satisfying as it could have possibly been, but it certainly wasn't bad. I saw a lot of reviews about translation issues, but personally I didn't have any. Even with translation issues I'd highly recommend this book, it's a really good read you won't regret.

This one was a twisted but it's really good. It's a disturbing story about a woman held captive with her two kids in the woods and the woman who's been found and deemed to be Lena, who went missing years ago. This one kept me reading.
