“I never tell anyone exactly how clever I am. They would be too scared.” (Artemis Fowl II)

I love it when a group of unlikely characters come together to pull off a daring mission!

Artemis Fowl and the Eternity Code shows that Artemis is a genius. He has a natural affinity for plotting and planning and he's always one step ahead. However, he's a believable character and acts the way I would expect a child prodigy to act. Due to his exposure to the Fairy world and the fact that his father has returned a more honest man, Artemis is starting to become hesitant about his criminal activities. The relationship between Artemis and Butler in Artemis Fowl and the Eternity Code shows a different side of Artemis. Artemis Fowl is a true antihero.

Artemis Fowl and the Eternity Code focuses more on the characters than the action scenes and I connected with the characters. Bulter's loyalty is unmatched. Holly Short is freaking amazing. Juliet plays a larger role in Artemis Fowl and the Eternity Code and I love her personality. Mulch is a hilarious character, but he's still really gross. I love Foaly's inventions and Commander Root's extreme anger makes for some hilarious moments.

The one thing that I don't like in Artemis Fowl and the Eternity Code is the villain portrayals. The villains are one-dimensional and stereotypical and the villain henchmen are so stupid and it's painful.

The ending is bittersweet
Spoilerbecause Artemis hasn't just lost his memories about the People; he has also lost friends and an opportunity to change for the better
. I'm excited to see what happens
Spoiler,i.e. how Artemis is going to get his memories of the People back,
in Artemis Fowl and the Opal Deception.
"When the moment comes will you take your chance to be a hero?"

This is the first Artemis Fowl book to make me cry. True, I laughed more than I cried, but still. It resonated with me emotionally! Plus, it had Juliet! I still hope she reemerges later on in the series. Another good one.

Love this book. Witty, fast pacing, heart wrenching at times, and full of villainous plans and plots. I just read it to my 3 boys (6,8,10) and I did realize to really appreciate the technical jargon and humor you probably should be a 12 year old boy...but they still enjoyed it a lot and I love these books. So fun and unique.

Hasn’t been my favorite in the series, some plot points felt rather convenient, but overall I enjoyed it. Eoin Colfer’s really shines in his humor that even got a laugh out of me as an adult☺️

I’ve read this book like four hundred times and it just keeps being a banger

Yet another fun, lighthearted addition to the Artemis fowl series. I am enjoying this series quite a bit. The character development is good and the stories are fun and action packed. I am looking forward to the last few books in this series.

My Favorite thing about Artemis is that fact that for all the BS he pulls and the plans he makes he is still just a kid and Butler is a this indestructible hero that has always been there to get him out of trouble. I don't think he ever considered the possibility of him not being around so this volume really shows that.

ALSO I like how hard it becomes for Artemis to lie to Holly, and that even though he's lied to her so many times she still chooses to trust him, which is indeed a problem but their friendship is something i think about aaalllll the time.
