In the final installment of The Broken Blades Trilogy, the four remaining blades attempt to stop a war from occurring between nations - and gather the remaining relics of the dragon lord. But with enemies rising on every side, they risk death just by living.
I am OBSESSED with this trilogy. I could sing the praises of Corland's writing and characterization off the rooftops, and I will forever revere her as one of my favorite authors. The characters were raw and authentic, and a story waiting to be told. However, since I feel like I've discussed a lot of what I like about this book series in my two previous reviews for books one and two, I will note that this finale for the book was a little disappointing. It also felt a tad rushed toward the end, and I didn't get time to absorb everything that was happening - nor did it feel like the characters truly got to feel it. I also found Rune's sudden neutrality to be a bit plot convenient, alongside the null claim to him being Tiyung's sire (which felt like a forgotten plot thread the author had to clarify last minute). All in all, a good series, but there were a couple things in this final book that I felt could've been done better.

Exciting and eventful plot in this last book! Enjoyed it but I would have liked a slightly different ending or another book.
