Overly simplistic, but a good overview of MTBI typology.

Very good overview of MBTI personality types. I was familiar with a majority of terms before going into the book, but having an in depth review of the different types and how they play into a person's life was very enlightening.

I really enjoyed this easily understandable, more in-depth discussion of personality. The first 3/4 was fantastic and really delved into the contrasts between the different type categories. I loved the discussion about an Introvert’s primary versus auxiliary traits. As an introvert I felt like they were able to put words to what I have known but couldn’t express about the nature of my introversion. I find that knowing my personality type is freeing for me to understand why I have certain bents, how to recognize those in action and adjust if necessary. It also helps me recognize the filters I use when trying to understand others which helps demystify many communication breakdowns and misunderstandings.

I skimmed some of the later chapters that were more about occupation and schooling fits per type. I did find the discussion of developing your type and understanding and using type appropriately in children to be interesting though.

I had fun reading half of it. The other half was clearly an 1 star book.
