Having already read the previous book by this author, I certainly wasn't surprised by how much I enjoyed this one as well. Not that I had any great doubts then considering the music+brain pairing. Nor do I think it is necessary to have read the previous one to understand this one, which is well written and has enough figures, tables and examples to be within everyone's reach. The only thing I was really sorry to read is that Keith Jarrett has had two strokes and will never be able to improvise again.

Avendo giá letto il precedente libro di questo autore non sono certo rimasta sorpresa da quanto anche questo mi sia piaciuto. Non che avessi poi grossi dubbi considerato l'accoppiamento musica+cervello. Non credo nemmeno sia necessario aver letto il precedente per capire questo, che é scritto bene e ha il numero sufficiente di figure, tabelle ed esempi per essere alla portata di tutti. L'unica cosa che mi é proprio dispiaciuta é stata venire a sapere che Keith Jarrett ha avuto due ictus e che non potrá improvvisare mai piú.

I'm glad that this was focused on the interaction between music and neuro/cognitive science. I also enjoyed that the audiobook included music as examples when appropriate in the later sections.
