I absolutely love when i am suprised by how much i like a book. The only reason i took this audiobook out from libby is cause it seemed like a requick thriller and was only 8 hours. While it being a short story it gave me the twist turns and PLOT twists that i absolutely ate up from start to finish. The drama!! And how this book just goes into MADNESS towards the end. I liked the pacing, while slow it didnt feel rushed, i also was never bored when listening and was on the edge of my seat. If u want to read it i highly recommend and if you're into audiobooks it is a short one! 🫶🏽✨️📚🐲

Wasn’t my favorite. Swanson shouldn’t be writing from the perspective of a female to say the least.
I’m terrible at guessing the ending, and I saw this one from almost the beginning.

 Yeah, no.
Maybe I shouldn't read books about marriages, I really don't enjoy them. :D The beginning was so boring. Telling a stranger everything about your past relationships during your bachelorett party (including highschool and family details completely irrelevant to the plot)? And then cheating with him on your fiance? And then just all the red flags, when the fiance/husband became totally controlling? But the book gets bonus points for pointing out that mabay she wasn't questioning her husbands creepy behavious because he was rich.
There was almost nothing surprising about the plot, you could see every twist coming ... basically from the beginning. The most surprising part was that action sequence at the end that reminded me a lot of the Tomb Raider parts I hate to play. I enjoyed that but it was pretty convenient to learn about all those hidden skills of the protagonist the second she needed them.
