This book was an adrenaline rush from start to finish. I started the first few pages just to see what it was going to be like and could not put it down. I read this in a furious fever and think the author must have written it much the same way. There's non-stop action and excitement on every page, which isn't resolved until the final word. I wanted to scream in frustration every time the hero and heroine were thwarted in their plans and couldn't wait for everything to be resolved for them.
In addition to all the excitement, you get to see a genuine love unfolding between the two main characters. At the beginning, I couldn't figure out how the author was going to take such a reprobate character and have him change, but it's done with finesse and believability. There were quite a few times throughout the book that it transcended the genre and included glimpses into the thoughts and feelings of the characters and other facets of their life. I think the alternating points of view were done very well and enhanced this aspect of the story.
I'm eagerly awaiting the next book from this author and look forward to more multi-layered novels such as this.

Super hot!
Interesting spin on a mafia story. I loved that it wasn't good girl meets bad boy...she can get down a dirty with the best of them.

Was hoping this would be like the Made Series by Danielle Lori – unfortunately it’s not. The Plot felt all over the place – I didn’t like the characters and I skipped over the spicy scenes :(

Very fun read! Lots of great spice. I really enjoyed these characters! Tony is very rough around the edges but I still was rooting for him. I love how brave Elena is even when she’s afraid.

Strong characters!
This is my first crime boss romance book I have read. I throughly enjoyed it. The characters are strong and very good. Elena is stronger willed and doesn't like how her ex made her feel. Seeing her come out of that thinking was great and becoming strong willed. Tony was the type of man I would want lol. Dark sexy and trouble. Enjoyed seeing him grow from a one night man whore to seeing how he could be with Elena.
Overall great story and nice writing.

It was okay. There was a lot of sex, but it mostly contributed to the plot. This is a book to read when you don't want to think about the plot or the characters.

I have mixed feelings about this book. I think I just wanted to like it but I couldn't. There were too many things in the background that I didn't enjoy.
First, this whole mob thing. I'm usually a fan of all con men and women but this organised crime idea, it was probably too much for me. Or maybe it's just the idea that a woman belongs to her mob as all his other personal belongings.
At first, I liked Tony attitude towards Elena. He seemed to be caring. And then it's all changed into 'your are my property' and 'your body belongs to me' stuff and I really hated that idea. He started to humiliate Elena in public places. Okay, this was probably the bdsm part but, really, I found not a bit of affection in it. So it seemed just rude to me, Tony was acting like a prick. To me he was using the fact that she is desperate to own her and give her commands. I think that Elena running from one asshole bumped up with just another one. I felt pity for her and there is no point in reading a romance if you feel pity for heroine that she stuck up with a hero.
I have finally manage to finish it. Which is incredible regarding the dumbness of the ending. I am definitely not going to read any books in this series.

This book was great it had romance plus great rough action! Vanessa Waltz truly knows how to tell a great story I can't wait to read more of her books!
