First of all, the description is misleading. Holly never fell in love with a Montgomery. She fell in love with Jake, who was a Gallagher.

I am obviously missing something here. The book was ok, but I get tired of the guy thinking he is not good enough for the girl and the subsequent struggle about it.

The narration was ok. Everything was just ok. I thought I would move on to find out what happened with Wes and Storm Montgomery, but I may pass. If those two books follow the same formula as the previous ones, it seems kind of pointless. It makes me kind of sad because I do like the Montgomery characters. Their stories just end up being kind of boring.

Another good novella!

Adoring Ink was a short but super good audio. I wish it was a bit longer because I really liked these characters and their chemistry was amazing. In it, you will meet Holly and Brody. Now Holly is a nice girl. She has a good job and wears respectable clothing for a woman her age.. but that's about it. Holly sounds like a possible cat lady, right? Correct.

Then a man enters life, his name is Brody, and she instantly becomes a ball of joy. I will admit that they were pretty cute together. The whole novella was pretty damn sweet because of these two and their chemistry. I wouldn't say it was insta-love but they definitely clicked with each other early on.

Overall, I really wished this wasn't a novella because it was way too short in my opinion!

The good girl teacher and the bearded tattooed mechanic, Holly and Brody shouldn’t work but they do surprisingly well. Holly is a cardigan wearing elementary school teacher. She is getting antsy as all of her friends are finding their soulmates and settling down. Holly has worked hard to become who she is and likes herself just fine. I love that about her. I laughed at how Holly and Brody first met and enjoyed watching them each step out of their comfort zones. Carrie Ann Ryan takes these two opposites and turns them into a whole in a fairly short time yet you don’t feel short changed. Sweet, sexy fun.

2.5 stars

So this story is about Holly and Brody. The overall story was pretty good, but I just didn't really care enough about either of these characters to really love this book.

I love that we are seeing more of the Montgomery world and that she writes these novellas. I just didn't really connect with these two, which is why I am giving it a 2.5 instead of a 3.

A wonderful HEA worth waiting for!

I've never been so gleefully happy to see this book in my kindle. Holly's story is one that I've been anxious about because I desperately want her to get her HEA. Carrie Ann Ryan .... thank you for this story!! Brody is perfect for Holly, he's not only all tattoed up and sexy as heck, he's pretty much damage a little inside and it took someone like Holly to make him whole again. It's so fun to see my girl Holly trying out new adventures. If you're a fan of the Montgomery Ink series then you must 1-click this book!!
