mixed feelings. this book is very much Vibes, and i don’t love those books. they’re all just words to me. the start (until like halfway) was Very slow to me and i didn’t love it. when the story picked up i started enjoying it a lot more, but it still wasn’t great to me.
i will say i’ve seen the movie so i was Scared for the ending, but i think it was so well done and bittersweet. a great ending.

Ik vond het een heel fijn boek om te lezen: het was goed geschreven, ik kreeg zin om weer te wandelen en om naar Italië te gaan. Maar ik had graag meer over Pietro, zijn ouders, zijn vriendin(nen), Bruno en Bruno's ouders geleerd. Ik miste diepgang in hun personages en het uitdiepen van onderlinge relaties.

A warm recommendation to anyone who harbors a love for nature. Congetti is a great storyteller who successfully and easily introduces the reader to his noteworthy way of life. He writes in such a way that I felt warmly familiar with his stories, but was still very interested in the particulars all the way through.
