The perfect book for a couple with a new baby. It exactly describes those tender first moments when it is just baby and parents. Those first sneezes, questions, naps, and more. It is such a sweet book.

A beautiful poem to mommy, daddy, and baby with such soft illustrations. I'm IN LOVE with Babymoon!

Again, I am obsessed with Juana Martinez Neal's illustrations. I love them so much! Having a diverse character representation makes the topic of a newborn baby coming home all the more unique and beautiful.
I want to add this book to my list of must give for baby showers and such. It's beautiful!!!! Truly, it is a heartwarming read. It depicts the newness of a baby so real--from understanding cries to feeding to learning new roles as Momma and Dadda.
As I said, it's gorgeous!

Could I see gifting this for baby showers or to new parents? Absolutely. Do I see a place for it in the school library or classroom? I don't think so. It's gorgeous (Juana Martinez-Neal is a favorite illustrator!), but even the author's bio says that it was aimed at parents.

Wow! I loved this so much. This is going to become my new go-to baby shower gift. Beautiful illustrations and text that work together to perfectly evoke the dreamlike (sleep deprived) state of brand new parenthood.

Sweet, though I think new parents will appreciate this book more than small children.

"Babymoon" aka a honeymoon in the early days after a baby's birth. Adorable and would make a wonderful gift for new parents, but definitely seemed written for adults rather than kids.
