Bob and his pet dog, Rex, live on a hill. In order to make some money, they decide to start a pet-sitting business. On their first day, they get some well-known visitors and their pets...and it quickly becomes chaos.

An okay mash-up of several fairy tales...but there is no resolution to the conflict.

This might be the most unintentionally depressing book ever.

This book is a good spring board in terms of creative writing but god is it depressing!! A boy and his dog live in poverty so the boys finds a job he thinks he will love but it ends up being way more work than he originally signed on for and the job eventually takes over his life and literally wrecks his home. I’m not even sure if the ending is considered “happy.” What on Earth was the author thinking!?
