This was the perfect combination of fantasy and romance. A book that captivated me to the very end and has left me in sheer anticipation for the next book. Possibly one of the best books I’ve read this year, if not ever! Do yourself a favor and go read this book while I very impatiently await February 18 for the second one to come out.

Words cannot express how much I loved this book. This was true enemies to lovers and done so well. The writing was beautiful. Usually, I struggle with third person, but it was done so so well. The characters were so well-rounded and multi-faceted. We also clearly knew the why behind what guided all of their actions. This is shelved as Young Adult, but there is some spice in there as a PSA. I also did guess one of the major twists. I cannot wait for the second! The blood collection system did give me a little bit of the ick.
